BSBIO Students Holds Community Service

The third-year Bachelor of Science in Biology program at Mabalacat City College conducted a community service at Haduan Negrito Integrated School on February 13, 2023.

The said program was part of the final requirement of the BSBIO in their Filipino sa Iba't Ibang Disiplina (FILDIS) course.

Furthermore, it was spearheaded by Mr. Michael Bryan Rosilla, FILDIS instructor, in collaboration with the MCC Kayantabe, headed by Ms. Carol Arboleda, unit manager, and Mark Christopher Macam, Kayantabe staff. Also, other MCC teaching personnel, Dr. Maureen P. Santos, Mr. Eldy Owen T. Layno, Ms. Jonnabelle De Leon, Mr. Celter Cris Torres, and Ms. Frienchie Yamauchi, participated in the program.

The BSBIO students donated different instructional materials, such as a diorama of a volcanic eruption, the solar system, the forest biome, plant and animal cells, and the anatomy of the human head.

With these, Haduan Negrito Integrated School, led by Principal Fe Layson, and their faculty extend their gratitude and huge thanks to MCC, especially to the BSBIO students, for always supporting the school and prioritizing not just the needs of the students but also the teachers.

UP-CIFAL Philippines Partners with MCC to Push SDG Efforts

University of the Philippines - Centre International de Formation des Autorit├ęs et Leaders (UP-CIFAL Philippines) released its 2022 annual report on 3 May 2023 featuring its partnerships with different organizations which included Mabalacat City College. In a letter sent to Dr. Michelle Aguilar-Ong, the MCC President, Dr. Edna A. Co, the Director of UP-CIFAL Philippines, expressed her appreciation to MCC and other organizations for their support in promoting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through various collaborations and capacity-building programs.
