Dr. Maries T. Due took her undergraduate course in Bachelor of Science in Biology Major in Zoology, postgraduate courses in Master of Professional Studies major in Science Education, and a Doctor of Education major in Educational Management.
She started as a part-time teacher at Mabalacat City College in 2008 teaching Earth Science and became a full-time teacher in 2010, wherein she handled the major subjects of the Bachelor of Science in Biology and Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Biological Science students and currently a faculty of the Institute of Teacher Education handling the major subjects of the Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Science students.
The subjects she handled at the Institute of Arts and Science from 2020 – 2022 were: General Ecology, Systematics, and Science, Technology, and Society. While under the Institute of Teacher Education from 2020 to present, she handles Research in Teaching Science, Art Appreciation, Teaching Science in the Elementary Grades (Physics, Earth and Space Science), Teaching Science in the Elementary Grades (Biology and Chemistry), General Biology, Microbiology and Parasitology, Earth Science, Environmental Science, Meteorology, Anatomy and Physiology, Astronomy, Technology for Teaching and Learning Science, and Continuing Professional Education subjects such as Building and Enhancing Literacies Across the Curriculum and The Teacher and the Community, School Culture, and Organizational Leadership.
Before she joined Mabalacat City College, she taught at Holy Angel University. Aside from teaching, she handled special duties such as Science Program Coordinator of the Institute of Arts and Sciences from 2010-2014, Assistant Dean of the Institute of Arts and Sciences from 2015-2016, Dean of the Institute of Teacher Education from 2017-2018, Vice President for Research Development, and Extension Services in 2019, and currently as an Associate Professor 1.
She is also an active member of the Philippine Association for Teachers and Educators (PAFTE), Association of Science Teachers and Educators in the Philippines (ASTEP), Society of Transformative Educators, and Business Manager of Biology Teachers Association (BIOTA) Central Luzon.
