MCC UNA Program
This academic year marked a significant milestone with the introduction of The MCC UNA program (First Generation Special Admissions Program), which was created to accommodate applicants whose parent(s) did not complete a four-year college or university degree, irrespective of the educational backgrounds of other family members. As a pivotal element of this initiative, these students were automatically granted enrollment within the prestigious CRIMSON TRIBE community. Centered on first-generation students, this program allocates special admission slots to 72 recipients who are the first in their families to embark on a college degree.
The primary aim is to foster equal access to education for this demographic, providing tailored support to enhance their prospects of successfully completing a college degree. The Admissions Office collaborates with partner agency, particularly the City Social Welfare Development Office (CSWDO) of Mabalacat, to assess first-generation student qualifications and plays a pivotal role in facilitating College Automatic Admissions.
MCC I-PEACE Program
This program is dedicated to members of the indigenous peoples (IPs) community, with 14 recipients. Its objective is to provide educational opportunities and support to indigenous students. The program offers special admission slots, addresses unique challenges faced by indigenous students, and provides specialized support. The program's impact includes fostering educational equity, preserving cultural heritage, and empowering indigenous students in their pursuit of higher education. The Admissions Office collaborates with both internal and external partner agencies for the admissions process of MCC I-PEACE Applicants.
