To celebrate parents' efforts and sacrifices for their children, Mabalacat City College Institute of Hospitality and Tourism Management (MCC IHTM) feted a culminating activity for parents on 11 July 2023 at MCC Hometown Bar and Restaurant. The event titled "Class United, Dishes Delighted: Savoring Appreciation Together," served as a thanksgiving occasion, where Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management 3A (BSHM 3A) students were able to serve their parents different dishes.
Parents were grateful by the dedication and hard work demonstrated by their sons/daughters, who spearheaded the activity. They were delighted on how the students showcased their culinary skills and acquired knowledge throughout their course. It was a proud moment and experience for the parents to know that their children are able to hold and organize such an impeccable activity for them.
They also expressed their appreciation for MCC and IHTM for the true fine-dining they experienced. From the exceptional service to the delectable taste of the dishes, the activity left a lasting impression on the parents, who commended MCC and the IHTM for their commitment to providing students with experiential learning opportunities.
The parents recognized that the culminating activity was a testament to MCC's dedication to meet the demands of the industry and equip students with the practical skills necessary for their future careers.
The presence of Vice President for Finance and Administration Ms. Happy Pelayo, Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Romeo D. Erese III, Assistant Vice President for Student Life Dr. Beejay Sebastian, Assistant Vice President of Support for Academic and Institutional Development Engr. Erick Jaie David, IHTM faculty and staff highlighted the significance of the activity and further emphasized the importance of experiential learning within MCC.
This activity not only served as a platform for MCC’s effort in providing quality education, but more so a heartwarming celebration of the unwavering support of parents for their children. Through collaboration of parents and MCC, students are continuously prepared for the success in their chosen field, instilling the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their future careers.
