BSHM-3B Parents Taste Gastronomy

Mabalacat City College Institute of Hospitality and Tourism Management (MCC IHTM) students honored and expressed their gratitude to their parents through a culminating activity on 19 July 2023 at MCC Hometown Bar and Restaurant. With the theme "Taste the Art of Gastronomy," Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management 3B (BSHM-3B) showcased their culinary skills and served variety of dishes to their parents.

Parents were grateful for the dedication and hard work demonstrated by their sons and daughters who led the activity. They were overjoyed to witness firsthand the skills and knowledge that their children acquired throughout their course of study. It was a proud and memorable moment for the parents to see their children successfully hosting an event dedicated to celebrate their unwavering support.

They commended MCC and IHTM for their steadfast commitment to providing students with experiential learning opportunities beyond the classroom and for the fine-dining experience they enjoyed. From the service provided to the delectable dishes served, the entire activity left an indelible impression on them.

This event served as a celebration of the parents’ support to their children's academic and professional journeys and a testament to MCC's commitment to providing quality education.

Through the collaboration of parents and MCC, students are continuously prepared for success, inculcating the skills, knowledge, and confidence necessary to excel in their future careers. Both parents and IHTM faculty and staff, were reminded of the importance of their collective efforts in ensuring their success.

The presence of Vice President for Finance and Administration Ms. Happy Pelayo, Assistant Vice President for Support for Academic and Institutional Development Dr. Josevy Taguibao, Assistant Vice President for Student Life Dr. Beejay Sebastian, IHTM faculty and staff further emphasized the importance of experiential learning within MCC.

The event themed, “Pamakli Tamu Globally,” tackles topics on teaching internationally.
