IHTM Spearheads Virtual Tour Guiding and Virtual Culinary Tour

January 18, 2022

As we continue to face the pandemic, travel is limited and we shift from being able to go anywhere, to going nowhere. Our adventures have been put on pause. We yearn to travel, visit beautiful places, try out delicious cuisines, and create unforgettable experiences yet still we continue to hope for the end of the pandemic, to re-start our explorations.

Thus, the Institute of Hospitality and Tourism Management (IHTM) in cooperation with the Mabalacat City College Employee Wellness Program created the Virtual Tour Guiding and Virtual Culinary Tour. Different videos gathered from the Department of Tourism, and other online resources are presented via MS Teams during the weekly MCC Employee Wellness Program. This is part of the different activities which aim to promote the welfare of every Mabalacat City College Personnel. Employees can enjoy the different virtual tours while in their offices and workstations.

Virtual tours include those of Fort Santiago, Casa Manila, Binondo, and that of the Halal Culinary of Mindanao - providing both a historical and gastronomical experience with a handful more of such tours being prepared. These virtual tours not only provide a temporary virtual escape from the four corners of the office but also promote learning and adventure.

(MCC Wellness Program is composed of activities aimed to promote the welfare of all its personnel every Friday from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm, other activities include Zumba, Karaoke, Board Games, Physical Fitness Activities, Virtual Boards Games and Online Games among others)
