Initial Step for a Cybernetic Academic Future of MCC Faculty Personnel

As the official opening of classes is coming to the horizon, the Mabalacat City College (MCC) faculty has prepared for the wired academic school year.

The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs has successfully executed the two-day In-service Faculty Training for the Academic Year 2021-2022. The training was held on August 24 and 25, 2021; this training is founded by the academicians from the heart of the campus. The resource speakers are certainly formidable as they emerged victorious in their respective lectures.

For the day 1 training, Dr. Melanie Viloria-Briones, the Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) inaugurated the training through her opening remarks. This is followed by the invigorating speech of the Executive Vice President (EVP), Atty. Charmaine Lansangan-Venturina. Courtly, Prof. Ronilyn M. Telan, one of the remarkable educators from the Institute of Computing Studies (ICS), actively presented her topic on the use of various platforms to actively engage students in this now normal. Afterward, a task is given to participants, and an assessment for these outputs has been made by her partner-coach Mr. Raymond John D. Vergara, the Vice President for External Affairs (VPEA). In the afternoon session, Dr. Caroline M. Acosta, the Consulting Vice President for Research and Extension Services (VPRES), informatively delivered her lecture regarding the efficient ways to achieve learning outcomes amidst technological adversaries.

In the second day of training, Dr. Briones, an academician at heart, lectured on assessments in flexible learning; as she imparted this information, she provided precise answers to the participants’ queries. In addition, her partner-coach Mr. Michelangelo L. Cayanan, the Quality Assurance and Archives (QAA) Director, has set a course to evaluate the assignments given to the instructors. As the session went on, Engr. Erick Jaie O. David, the head of Management Information System (MIS), encouraged the educators in using the different Learning Management Systems (LMSs). He is a tech-wizard whom MCC greatly cherish. Further, Prof. Beejay A. Sebastian, the Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs (AVPAA) laid bare the appropriate actions to handle an eClassroom for the Academic Year 2021-2022.

With this in-service training, the Crimson Tribe is now ready to embark in the world of academe.
