Thanksgiving and merrymaking filled the main campus grounds as Mabalacat City College held its Year-End Organizational Assessment and Celebration on 20 December 2023. With the theme MCC Goes Classic: Journeying Back, Advancing Forward, the event was a commemoration and reflection of a year of hard work and breakthroughs of the institution, as well as an appreciation for every employee’s contribution.
City Mayor and MCC Chairperson Hon. Crisostomo Garbo graced the event and extended his warm holiday greetings to MCC. He underscored his appreciation to the College in its service to the city's youth. "I'm proud of the achievements of MCC. Ako ay masaya na nagagampanan ninyo ang pagseserbisyo sa ating mga kabataan," he shared. Hon. Garbo also lauded the College’s recent achievements including the Customs Board Licensure Examination Top 3 Best Performing School recognition.
MCC President Dr. Michelle Aguilar-Ong expressed her gratitude to the City Mayor for his support to the College. Dr. Ong also recognized every employee’s contribution to the successes of MCC. “It has been a year full of achievements and breakthroughs and that is because of your hard work, dedication, and commitment,” she emphasized.
One of the highlights of the celebration is the MCC Funky Flashback 70s Dance Competition, wherein participants grooved to the classic beats of the 70s. Team 8 (Office of the Vice President for Support for Academic and Institutional Development) prevailed as First Place. While Team 5 (Institute of Arts and Sciences and Vice President for Academic Affairs) and Team 3 (Institute of Teacher Education) won Second and Third Place, respectively. Employees also fostered camaraderie and sportsmanship through the organized fun games and raffle.
With the Year-End Organizational Assessment and Celebration, MCC sealed the year with meaningful festivity. As the institution journeyed back to its hard work and victories, MCC advances to a new year with renewed fervor for its unwavering commitment to serving the community.
