MCC Hosts CCC for Collaborative Benchmarking

 

 

Mabalacat City College (MCC) welcomed a delegation from the City College of Calapan (CCC) on August 25, 2023 led by CCC Administrator Dr. Ronald F. Cantos. The visit focused on educational benchmarking, highlighting Curriculum and Instruction, Internationalization, Research, MCC’s Community College-Based Approach, and the innovative Smart Hyflex Classrooms.

 

During the visit, both institutions aimed to exchange ideas and insights to enhance their educational practices. MCC President Dr. Michelle Aguilar-Ong, convened with the CCC delegation, fostering potential collaborations. This created a platform of reciprocity of ideas, strategies, and insights that could enhance the educational landscapes of both institutions.

 

Discussions centered around Curriculum and Instruction, Internationalization, and Research. MCC’s Community College-Based Approach, known for its success, was of particular interest. The Smart Hyflex Classrooms, blending technology and effective pedagogy, also captivated CCC.

 

Furthermore, the dialogue emphasized collaboration's potential to transform education positively. CCC administrator Dr. Ronald F. Cantos expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and the opportunity to delve into the innovative practices that have set MCC apart.

 

The discourse culminated on the Community College framework, highlighting strategies for integrating community engagement into their educational approaches. This underscored the value of instilling a sense of social responsibility and civic participation among students.

 

This benchmarking activity sowed seeds for potential partnerships. It underscored cross-institutional collaboration's significance in shaping education's future and both MCC and CCC's commitment to educational excellence through innovation.
