MCC Places 1st for Best Practices

Mabalacat City College Corporate Boutique and Community Pantry were awarded the 1st Place as Best Practices in the recently concluded 18th Philippine Association of Practitioners of Student Affairs and Services in Region III (PAPSAS III) Annual Convention and Student Leaders Summit: with the theme "Strategic Directions Towards Better SAS” on 13-14 June 2024 at Arayat Pampanga.

The Convention aimed to foster engagement among students and SAS practitioners through community building exercises and sharing of best practices. Through attending such activities, Higher Education Institutions were able to collaborate with other SAS practitioners in enhancing services offered to students.

AVP for Student Life Ms. Florient G. Non participated the summit with Student Leadership Development Officer Mr. Prince EJ Manalo, who presented the college’s Best Practices along with 26 participating schools. Corporate Boutique and Community Pantry were the college’s initiatives in supporting students in their professional and academic endeavors.

Corporate Boutique is a dedicated wardrobe not only served to benefit and boost the confidence of the students but also aimed to address financial barriers as its price tags are in-kind that are generated into Community Pantry. As of now, donors of MCC Corporate Boutique includes TRT Corp, Marriott Hotel, CDC, US Embassy, Hann Hotel and Casino, Swissôtel Clark, EI Academy, Widus Hotel Clark, Mabalacat City Councilor Cherry Manalo and MCC employees.

Engaging in such activities, MCC is able to collaborate and foster relationships among other HEIs. With this, MCC is confident that it will achieve its goals to provide its students with a well-rounded and enriching support services.

Mabalacat City College (MCC) spearheaded the celebration of the International Day of Peace with a World Flag Ceremony on September 27, 2024, —an event that highlighted the institution’s ongoing commitment to fostering unity, diversity, and peace within the community. In partnership with Mabalacat Community High School and supported by the MCC Campus Youth Ministry, the event transformed the campus into a vibrant display of global citizenship.
