MCC, Swissôtel Inks Agreement

Mabalacat City College and Swissôtel signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on 17 April 2023 at Widus Hotel and Casino Clark. The MOA aims to strengthen the partnership between the two institutions to provide 4th year BSHM students of MCC with an opportunity to gain practical experience in the hospitality industry.

The partnership is expected to provide BSHM students with the 600-hour training requirement for practicum 1 and 2 at Swissôtel. The on-the-job training will cover various areas of hotel operations such as the front office, housekeeping, food and beverage service, kitchen, and sales and marketing.

Working under the guidance of experienced industry professionals, trainees will gain invaluable insights into the hospitality industry's best practices. The program will also allow trainees to network and build relationships with professionals in the industry creating vast career opportunities.

This MOA signing represents the college's commitment to provide practical training opportunities for its students, preparing them for a successful career in their chosen industry. Present during the event Ms. Jennyfer N. Merza, MBA, Mr. Harold Van A. Aquino, MSHRM and Ms. Giezel S. Aquino from MCC. Swissôtel was represented by Director of Talent and Culture Ms. Janet G. Onagan, Talent and Culture Officer Mr. Wesley P. Carbungco, and Widus Foundation representative Mr. Ronnel Golimlim
