MCC Welcomes Norzagaray College of Computing Studies to Benchmark on the Institution’s Laboratory, Capstone, and Physical Education Policies, and Guidelines

In a virtual meeting held last March 15, 2021, Mabalacat City College welcomed Norzagaray College’s College of Computing Studies to benchmark MCC’s policies and guidelines for laboratory, capstone, and physical education. 

Dean Dennis Tacadena of MCC Computing Studies is both grateful and honored to have provided a benchmark for a peer institution on how to conduct their laboratory and capstone projects amid the Covid-19 pandemic where face-to-face engagement is not possible. 

Physical Education Coordinator, Professor Susan Manuel is also happy to have shared the best practices in their department such as video tutorials, vlog projects, digital games and wished Norzagaray College to finally offer PE subjects in the coming semester using what they’ve learned from MCC.

Present from Norzagaray College were their Dean, Dr. Mindalita O. Cruz, Professor Rosemarie Arcebal, Professor Joan Balagtas, Professor Vanessa Mendoza, and other instructors. Dean Cruz offered their Statement of Purpose at the beginning of the meeting.

The MCC management is looking forward to hearing credible results from Norzagaray College and to later on gathering comparison data to help make critical strategic decisions for the next normal of computing studies and physical education.

In the year 2020, MCC passed thirty-four (34) policies that cover flexible learning, new normal student services, and activities, teaching, climate change, health, safety, and well-being.

In partnership with Mabalacat Community High School and supported by the MCC Campus Youth Ministry, the event transformed the campus into a vibrant display of global citizenship.
