Over the past few years, we’ve been overwhelmed by the news of emerging viruses. While we can take a few steps to keep ourselves safe by keeping our hands clean, but for some, the only way to earn a living is to get their hands dirty.

Sanitation workers do just that every day, pandemic or not.

On September 30, 2022, Mabalacat City College joined together to thank the women and men who work daily to keep our community safe and clean.

The College President, Dr. Michelle Aguilar-Ong, personally expressed her gratitude and heartfelt appreciation to all who untiringly kept us safe during the event, “Pamper our Heroes: Movie Day Extravaganza” hosted by the Office of the Vice President for Finance and Administration held at the MCC Smart Classroom.

As such, the MCC awarded the sanitation workers for their dedication and hard work in maintaining the cleanliness of their environment. They were given a sack of rice to thank them for this great deed and to call upon them to continue working for the betterment of their community through environmental awareness.
