Pamper Our Heroes: Movie Day Extravaganza

Over the past few years, we’ve been overwhelmed by the news of emerging viruses. While we can take a few steps to keep ourselves safe by keeping our hands clean, but for some, the only way to earn a living is to get their hands dirty.

Sanitation workers do just that every day, pandemic or not.

On September 30, 2022, Mabalacat City College joined together to thank the women and men who work daily to keep our community safe and clean.

The College President, Dr. Michelle Aguilar-Ong, personally expressed her gratitude and heartfelt appreciation to all who untiringly kept us safe during the event, “Pamper our Heroes: Movie Day Extravaganza” hosted by the Office of the Vice President for Finance and Administration held at the MCC Smart Classroom.

As such, the MCC awarded the sanitation workers for their dedication and hard work in maintaining the cleanliness of their environment. They were given a sack of rice to thank them for this great deed and to call upon them to continue working for the betterment of their community through environmental awareness.

MCC Joins USAN-Pampanga

Recognizing the vital role of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) institutions in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Mabalacat City College participated the first quarterly meeting of the Universities SDG Action Network (USAN)-Pampanga, on 24 February 2025 at DHVSU Hostel. Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region III and six partner universities and colleges also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalize their commitment in this initiative.

MCC Exhibits First-Ever TISArt at National Arts Month Celebration

In celebration of the National Arts Month, Mabalacat City College hosted the first-ever TISArt, a chalk art exhibit, on 22 February 2025 in its annual art exhibit. This is in collaboration student organizations, PANTALAKAYAN and Campus Youth Ministry with this year’s theme is “Leguan: Balakat Art Exhibit,” held at Tabnuan: Mabalacat Cultural Center.
