Sweet Treats for Professors

In celebration of the Teacher's Month, Mabalacat City College gave away brand-new smartphones with unlimited call and text services and allocated data service to all full-time faculty members of the College in their Happy Professors' Day Celebration held last October 14, 2020, at MCC Cultural Hall.

According to President Ong, this greatly helped the teachers in monitoring the progress of their students in the flexible learning setup. In her speech, she thanked the LGU, especially the Chairman of the Board, Mayor Crisostomo Garbo who fully supported the activity and even added sweet treats for the teachers to bring home. 

In the second part of the program, Smart Network Managers and staff witnessed the awarding and giving of electronic tokens to most punctual instructors in the submission of modules as well as most favorite professors as voted by students. MCC and Smart announced their partnership in providing updated information to teachers and students through the info cast. Smart officially tagged MCC as a Smart School.

This event is part of MCC's mission in honing a healthy and happy community by enabling its academe to experience wellness and appreciation.

On December 18, 2024, a group of Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management students presented their sustainability action study to the manager of Slaps Bistro, a Samgyupsal Korean restaurant located in Dolores, Mabalacat City, Pampanga. The project was part of their final output for the Contemporary World course, aimed at addressing real-world issues through practical solutions.

MCC Students Sustain: H2-WHOA, Every Drop Counts Project

Mabalacat City College’s hospitality management students initiated a project entitles H2-WHOA, EVERY DROP COUNTS. The initiative aims to address water waste in restaurants by promoting the segregation and reuse of melted ice. After conducting immersions and studies at La Gracia’s Buffet Restaurant in Mabalacat City, the students identified a significant issue: the routine disposal of ice into sinks, leading to unnecessary water wastage.
