Mabalacat City College Inks MoU with Tan Trao University (Vietnam)

Tuyen Quang, Vietnam - Mabalacat City College (MCC) sealed another Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 8 September 2022 with Tan Trao University (TTrU) outlining student exchange and faculty development programs.

MCC College President Dr. Ong expressed her gratitude to TTrU for the partnership opportunities on student exchange and faculty development programs and for offering internship programs for Biology, History and Education students. This will help both institutions develop their communication skills in a diverse, cross-cultural setting. Aside from this, students can expand their network while experiencing a new city.

TTrU and MCC shares some similarities such as field and training programs, from which TTrU’s Vice President and Acting President Dr. Nguyen Khai Hoan was delighted. The hospitality shown by the TTrU to MCC officials was also remarkable.

After the MoU signing, he is hopeful that MCC and TTrU will implement more collaborative programs such as exchange of lecturers, internship programs for students, cultural exchange programs and arrange more conferences and seminars in the future.

Both institutions look forward to a long and strong partnership, as they continue to offer their students with endless international opportunities for development and experiences.

Present during the signing ceremony were MCC College President Dr. Michelle Aguilar-Ong, Vice President for External and International Affairs Mr. Raymond John Vergara, MCC VP for Finance and Administration Ms. Happy Pelayo, MCC Assistant VP for Student Services Mr. Beejay Sebastian, and MCC Partnerships and Linkages Coordinator Mr. Kevin Aaron M. Peralta.

On October 10, 2024, Mabalacat City College (MCC) welcomed Dr. Rob Ferguson, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Management at Vancouver Island University (VIU), Canada, to explore collaborative opportunities aimed at enhancing academic and professional development. Dr. Ferguson met with key MCC officials, including Dr. Marilyn Arcilla, OIC-Vice President for Academic Affairs; Jennyfer Merza, MBA, Dean of the Institute of Hospitality and Tourism Management; the Vice President for Global Relations, Opportunities, and Workforce Development, Raymond John Vergara, MPR and the Assistant Vice President for Linkages and International Affairs, Kevin Aaron Peralta. The discussions focused on establishing meaningful partnerships between MCC and VIU.
