Mabalacat City College Participates RSTW 2023

Botolan, Zambales – Mabalacat City College (MCC) actively took part in the Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Week (RSTW) 2023 on 22 October 2023 exhibiting the results of its collaboration with the Community Empowerment through Science and Technology (CEST) program. This was focused in supervising the "Ready…CEST…Go!: Karunungan, Kalusugan, at Kalikasan Pagyamanin: Tungo sa Isang Maunlad na Katutubong Pamayanan" subprogram, which was organized by the Department of Science and Technology Region 3 (DOST-3).

The "Ready…CEST…Go!" subprogram underscored MCC's efforts in uplifting indigenous communities, It specifically focused on Education and Human Resource Development (Karunungan), Health and Nutrition (Kalusugan), and Environmental Protection and Conservation (Kalikasan).

MCC's delegation included Center for Community Research and Innovation Director Mr. James Darwin Lagman, Kayantabe Manager Ms. Carol Arboleda, and Institute of Arts and Sciences faculty member Ms. Frienchie Ann Yamauchi. They were accompanied by students from the Science Society and PANTALKAYAN, who are also from the Institute of Arts and Sciences.

During the exhibit, MCC showcased various student-developed products, such as Balakat Tea, Balakat Milk Tea, and Balakat Soap. These were developed with the support of the Center for Community Research and Innovation, emphasizing MCC's dedication to fostering creativity, innovation, and community development.

The event themed, “Pamakli Tamu Globally,” tackles topics on teaching internationally.
