Mabalacat City College Sends a Representative to the Virtual Summer School in Malaysia

July 04, 2021

Mabalacat City College, through its Internationalization Office, sends a student to the Virtual Summer School of the University of Nottingham in Malaysia.

The University of Nottingham used to hold the annual summer school in face-to-face modality. However, this year, due to the health restrictions brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, the University opted to cater the program to an online experience. After a stringent screening of applicants, the Internationalization and Scholarships and Grants offices nominated Mr. Jim Bryn G. Balatero, a Bachelor of Science in Education, Major in Social Studies, for admission at the University of Nottingham’s summer program. Last June 17, 2021, he was formally accepted to participate in the course Politics, Culture, and the Media in Southeast Asia and will join eight students coming from the United Kingdom and one from Indonesia from July 5-16, 2021. Helping the MCCians to be exposed to the International Summer School program is just one among the many mobility programs of Mabalacat City College for the students.
