MCC Attends Global Peace Convention 2023 Educators Congress

Mabalacat City College (MCC) participated in the Global Peace Convention 2023 Educators Congress at University of Makati on 12 December 2023. Organized by Global Peace Foundation (GPF), this convention aimed to enhance collaboration between GPF and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in peace education.

With the theme Promoting Peace and Global Citizenship: Strengthening Collaboration among Educators for Moral and Innovative Leadership, the convention featured plenary sessions that explored the role of education and educators in promoting Global Peace and Harmony, as well as empowering global citizens through universal principles and values.

MCC was represented by Institute of Arts and Sciences Dean and OIC VPAA Ms. Marilyn S. Arcilla, Institute of Business and Accountancy Dean Dr. Josephine Evangelista, Institute of Hospitality and Management Dean Ms. Jennyfer N. Merza, and Institute of Teacher Education Dean Dr. Arvina D. Sarmiento, together with faculty Ms. Kaserin P. Icmat, Ms. Giezel S. Aquino, Ms. April Ann L. Galang, and Mr. Gino Yumul.

By participating in this Convention, MCC strengthens its role in nurturing students to be global citizens. By engaging with diverse perspectives in the convention, participants are better equipped in helping students develop skills like conflict resolution, critical thinking, and empathy, crucial for navigating a globalized world.

The event themed, “Pamakli Tamu Globally,” tackles topics on teaching internationally.
