MCC Holds Basic Life Support Training

The Institute of Arts and Sciences (IAS) and the Institute of Hospitality and Tourism Management (IHTM) successfully conducted the first batch of the Basic Life Support (BLS) Training for Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) students on 25-26 November 2024 at MCC Cultural Hall. The event brought together over 100 first-year students, equipping them with skills in life-saving and fostering commitment to social responsibility.

The training covered essential topics including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), airway management and emergency response techniques. Students also had hands-on activity to develop their confidence and competence in real-life scenarios and have a first-hand experience. Aligning with United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-being, this emphasized the importance of health education and preparedness in ensuring community safety.

Another batch of BLS training is scheduled on December 3-5, 2024. This extended schedule aimed to accommodate more students and ensure the initiative’s reach to broader audience. By empowering students with these skills, MCC contributes to a safer and more resilient community. This event is a testament to MCC's proactive stance on addressing global challenges through localized actions.

MCC Joins USAN-Pampanga

Recognizing the vital role of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) institutions in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Mabalacat City College participated the first quarterly meeting of the Universities SDG Action Network (USAN)-Pampanga, on 24 February 2025 at DHVSU Hostel. Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region III and six partner universities and colleges also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalize their commitment in this initiative.

MCC Exhibits First-Ever TISArt at National Arts Month Celebration

In celebration of the National Arts Month, Mabalacat City College hosted the first-ever TISArt, a chalk art exhibit, on 22 February 2025 in its annual art exhibit. This is in collaboration student organizations, PANTALAKAYAN and Campus Youth Ministry with this year’s theme is “Leguan: Balakat Art Exhibit,” held at Tabnuan: Mabalacat Cultural Center.
