MCC Hosts PICPA Accountancy Week Celebration: Accounting Quiz Bowl - Chapter Level

In celebration of Accountancy Week, Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), the national organization of Certified Public Accountants Angeles City chapter launched the competition “Accounting Quiz Bowl 2022 - Chapter Level” at Mabalacat City College.

The participating schools are City College of Angeles (CCA), Holy Angel University (HAU), Mabalacat City College (MCC), Republic Central Colleges (RCC), Systems Plus College Foundation (SPCF), and St. Thomas More College (STMC).

Accounting Quiz Bowl is divided into two levels based on difficulty. The winners in both levels of the said competition were Arvie Yumul and John Daniel Huet of Mabalacat City College (MCC). It was followed by Reigne Costas and Ralph Maniago of Holy Angel University (HAU), and Mark Bryan Nacpil of Republic Central Colleges (RCC), came third for the level one (1) and Donna Mae Tudla of City College of Angeles (CCA), for the level two (2).

The winners and participants were awarded certificates by Dr. Myrna Calma, President of PICPA Angeles chapter and MCC IBCE Dean, accompanied by Mr. Renz Marasigan, VP Professional Development, and Ms. Ma. Cristina Tanhueco, the Committee Chairperson of this year’s celebration.

PICPA was founded in 1929 and Dr. Erwin Vincent Alcala is the incumbent President of the organization. The Accountancy Week is celebrated this year from July 18-22
