MCC, Rotary Club of Mabalacat Empower Learners through Homecare Management Program

Taking another leap toward community empowerment, Mabalacat City College and Rotary Club of Mabalacat partnered to launch the Homecare Management Program on 29 March 2025. This is a five-week intensive training program designed to equip them with essential homecare management skills, intending to open doors to better employment.

Diverse group of learners including MCC students, employees and adult learners from the local community were all brought together to gain practical skills from the program. Through hands-on training, this initiative ensured that participants acquire valuable expertise for future career opportunities.

Along with MCC and the Rotary Club of Mabalacat, the Homecare Management Program was sponsored by Rotary Club of Masan-Gagopa while members of the Rotary Club of Haman, Rotary Club of Haman-Asirang, and Rotary Club of Haman-Dongbu showed their support.

MCC Officer-in-Charge for the Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Marilyn Arcilla, emphasized the initiative’s role in providing practical education that empowers the community. President of the Rotary Club of Mabalacat Mr. William Banal and President of the Rotary Club of Masan-Gagopa Mr. Junho Jo highlighted the significance of partnerships in creating meaningful and sustainable programs in their messages.

Through this initiative, MCC and its partner organizations reaffirmed their dedication to providing transformative learning opportunities, empowering learners with relevant skills, and fostering sustainable growth that will create a lasting impact on the community.

Strengthening its advocacy for energy efficiency and sustainability, Mabalacat City College collaborated with the Department of Energy (DOE) and the Philippine Center for Energy Inc. for an Information Session on Sustainable Energy Consumption on 26 March 2025. This reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to promoting responsible energy consumption, which aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 7–Affordable and Clean Energy.
