In an effort to expand international partnership, Mabalacat City College met with Bali Tourism Polytechnic (BiTP) to explore cooperation in the field of Hospitality and Tourism on 14 February 2025. This focused on academic and cultural exchanges through faculty and student exchange programs, collaborative workshops and conferences, and joint research initiatives.
The discussion addressed strategies to enhance global competencies, including actions toward Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), for students and faculty members in both institutions. The tourism and hospitality industries contribute to economic development, and forging the partnership aims to equip students with cross-cultural skills and international perspectives relevant to their professional growth.
Both institutions plan to hold further discourse to formalize cooperative efforts and implement programs in their academic communities. Future meetings will identify areas of collaboration and outline the next steps for executing proposed initiatives.
MCC was represented by Raymond John D. Vergara Vice President for Global Relations, Opportunities, and Workforce Development, Engr. Joshua Ken Policarpio Assistant Vice President for Linkages and International Affairs, Jennyfer Merza Institute of Hospitality and Tourism Management (IHTM) Dean and Giezel Aquino Tourism Management Program Head.
On behalf of BiTP, the meeting was attended by Dr. Luh Yusni Wiarti Deputy Director 3 for Institution Cooperation, Dr. Utama Head of BiTP Global (International Exposure), Dina Secretary of BiTP Global (International Affairs), Desak Chandra Secretary of BiTP Global (World Ranking) and Wira and Eni members of the BiTP Global team.
This aligns with MCC’s objective of expanding international partnerships and providing education and industry-relevant experiences for its students and faculty.
