MCC Welcomes TSU for Smart Classroom Benchmarking

More and more Philippine State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) are visiting Mabalacat City College for benchmarking. As the first school in the Philippines to be fitted by HUAWEI with its HyFlex Smart Classroom Technology, SUCs seek the opportunity to benchmark with MCC.

Recently, MCC welcomed a contingent from Tarlac State University (TSU) for a benchmarking activity on MCC Smart Classrooms. The delegation from TSU comprises of: TSU Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Agnes M. Macaraeg, Executive Assistant of the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA) Professor Augusto N. Lulu, Jr., Unit Head for Facilities Development and Management Office Ms. Menchie Abellar, Mr. John Christian Ilaga from TSU’s Facilities Development and Management Office, Mr. Anthony Gerong from TSU’s Management Information Systems Office, Technical Assistant of the OVPAA Julia Yvette Miranda, and TSU’s Faculty Member from the College of Science Prof. Edgar Macaraeg.

During the benchmarking, MIS Senior Programmer Joseph David discussed the features of the state-of-the-art facility. He placed emphasis on all the high-flex learning specifications of smart classrooms that benefit both onsite and online students. These features include digital content sharing where students can share presentations and copy their lectures through their smartphones via QR codes. He proudly shared that the rooms are equipped with cameras, microphones, monitors, interactive screens and boards, and soundproof walls.

TSU’s Dr. Agnes M. Macaraeg expressed her appreciation towards MCC for the warm welcome. She wishes to see more collaborations between the two institutions in the future.
