April 29, 2021

The Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) featured MCC’s “Project DigiHub” in the SEAMEO Congress 2021-VIRTUAL with the theme, “Transforming Southeast Asian Education, Science and Culture in the Digital Age”. The said event was broadcasted on April 28-29, 2021 at 10:00 AM Bangkok Time.

SEAMEO is a regional intergovernmental organization established in 1965 among governments of Southeast Asian countries to promote regional cooperation in education, science, and culture in the region.

This approbation is proof that thinking outside the box brings forth opportunities for growth and development. This eventually pushed MCC to continue working hard in its goals of promoting academic excellence, providing workforce development opportunities, and empowering all learners to become productive and socially responsible members of the local and global communities.

MCC Project Digihub is part of the MCC FLEX Transition Plan that was implemented according to the Adaptive Framework for Equal Access in Education and Curriculum-Support to Flexible Learning. Project Digihub was developed and made available in selected clustered barangays, online-ready and fully equipped with facilities. This program was also recognized by the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office III in its event, “Padyak sa Instructions! Pamantasan: Pandayan Tungo sa Kaunlaran”. This is in celebration of the 27th Founding Anniversary of the Commission and the 1st National Higher Education Day.

MCC’s video entry was chosen among 156 entries submitted during the SEAMEO Lecture Series held last March 22, 2021.
