Sta. Catalina Birthing Clinic Conducts Medical Consultation with MCC Studes

November 26, 2024

Promoting sense of community and collaboration, MCC Dapdap Campus students received Free Consultation through the Sta. Catalina Birthing Clinic Medical Mission on 22 November 2024. Students with health concern were identified and referred to a doctor for further treatment.

A total of 176 students benefited from the free consultation, which included blood tests, basic laboratory services and health education sessions on reproductive health. Furthermore, 83 students and 89 students underwent urinalysis and Comprehensive General Examination (CGE) respectively. Students were also provided with Vitamin C supplements to support their overall health.

Candice Ramos, 3rd year, noted that the free medical consultation was very helpful for them. She emphasized that due to their busy class schedule looking after their health has become their least priority, hence this has given them an overview of their health and what to do to improve their well-being.

This highlighted that working together with the community will benefit more people and be able to provide more service. Moreover, this mission underscored that community-driven initiatives contribute to building sustainable, healthier communities.
