TAU Benchmarks MCC

Imparting its best practice, Mabalacat City College welcomed a delegation of 40 Top Management and Administrators from Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) on 20 February 2025. Various offices and departments discussed their flagship programs and services through a parallel meeting.

MCC’s sustainable and innovative initiatives were also showcased in the campus tour. This includes Corporate Boutique and Community Pantry. Both programs reflected the college’s support to students and the community.

TAU delegation led by Vice President for Planning and Quality Assurance Dr. Leonell Lijauco they explored MCC’s Academic Affairs, Student Life, Quality Assurance, Registrar, Admissions, Finance and Administration, Research and Extension, Workforce Development, and Linkages and International Affairs.

Dr. Lijauco expressed his appreciation to MCC, “We chose the right institution for this benchmarking visit. MCC’s initiatives are not only unique but also demonstrate a non-traditional yet highly effective way of supporting students, employees, and the community. I am particularly impressed by how the college translates its vision into meaningful programs that create real opportunities for its stakeholders. On behalf of TAU, I sincerely thank MCC for its warm hospitality and for generously sharing its best practices with us.”

MCC representatives headed by Vice President for Finance and Administration Happy Pelayo, Vice President for Global Relations Opportunities and Workforce Development Mr. Raymond John Vergara and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Marilyn Arcilla generously imparted practices, services and initiatives to TAU team.

This is a testament to the dedication of MCC and TAU in elevating the standards of educational experiences. Through this, both institutions intended to ensure that students and the community receive the best possible opportunities.

MCC Joins USAN-Pampanga

Recognizing the vital role of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) institutions in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Mabalacat City College participated the first quarterly meeting of the Universities SDG Action Network (USAN)-Pampanga, on 24 February 2025 at DHVSU Hostel. Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region III and six partner universities and colleges also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalize their commitment in this initiative.

MCC Exhibits First-Ever TISArt at National Arts Month Celebration

In celebration of the National Arts Month, Mabalacat City College hosted the first-ever TISArt, a chalk art exhibit, on 22 February 2025 in its annual art exhibit. This is in collaboration student organizations, PANTALAKAYAN and Campus Youth Ministry with this year’s theme is “Leguan: Balakat Art Exhibit,” held at Tabnuan: Mabalacat Cultural Center.
