Arvina D. Sarmiento ED.D

Dr. Arvina D. Sarmiento has a professional teaching license and earned her bachelor's in elementary education with a focus on pre-school from Pampanga Agricultural College in 2013 with full scholarship as a consistent honor student and student leader, her master's in education with a focus on educational management from Pampanga State Agricultural University in 2017 as a loyalty awardee, and her doctorate in education with a focus on educational management from Tarlac State University in 2021.  

She presented various studies in local, national, and worldwide categories. She was a finalist for the Lector Magnificus award for the best research at MCC in 2019. She also received the best abstract award from Emilio Aguinaldo College in 2020, and had three of her research papers accepted for presentation in Bangkok, Thailand, from 2019 to 2021. She was recognized as an outstanding community educator in 2022. She is the founder of HULMA, a registered research journal of the Institute of Teacher Education credited by the National Library of the Philippines.  

She worked as a kindergarten and elementary teacher in a private institution in 2013 and was awarded as the best teacher of the year. She was then a permanent kindergarten teacher at the Department of Education for three consecutive years and became the school's Brigada Coordinator, ICT Leader, and in charge of records. She also served as a student records evaluator, assistant HR, assistant registrar, and secretary for the director of the Philippine Science High School Central Luzon Campus. She also performed as an Electoral Board Officer and Supervisor during national and local elections in the Philippines before beginning her teaching career at MCC in 2017. Additionally, she served as the League of Generalists' former student organization adviser, served as the field of study head for the institute's programs in elementary and early childhood education, and was at the same time the ITE research coordinator.  

She is currently the Institute of Teacher Education's Dean, a position she holds with distinction.
