IHTM Studes Empower Aeta Youth through Community Extension Program

Paying it back to the community, League of Tourism Students of the Philippines-MCC Chapter and Institute of Hospitality and Tourism Management Student Council and Faculty spearheaded a community extension program with the theme "Empowering Aeta Youth: Developing Tour Guiding Skills for Sustainable Tourism," on 20 March 2025. This initiative sought to provide Grade 9 and 10 with valuable skills in tour guiding to promote tourism in Clark.

MCC Brings Earth Hour in the Community

Emphasizing our shared responsibility in safeguarding the earth, MCC Student Organization League of Social Studies Catalyst (LSSC) joined the college in observing the global Earth Hour, with the theme “HUEmanity for the EARTH”, on 22 March 2025.

MCC Admission Drives to Community

Ensuring that everyone in the community is given the opportunity to apply for college admission, Mabalacat City College in partnership with 27 barangays in Mabalacat City conducted a community admission drive on 5-6 March 2025. More than 100 incoming freshmen applicants were catered for campus tour and onsite application for college admission.

MCC, CYDO Partners for Student Financial Literacy Seminar

As part of the support provided by MCC REAP, students participate in "Tambay Kaagapay: Entrepreneurship Skills and Financial Literacy Seminar," on 26 February 2025. In partnership with City Youth Development Office, this intended to equip students with essential knowledge related to personal finance and money management.

MCC Joins USAN-Pampanga

Recognizing the vital role of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) institutions in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Mabalacat City College participated the first quarterly meeting of the Universities SDG Action Network (USAN)-Pampanga, on 24 February 2025 at DHVSU Hostel. Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region III and six partner universities and colleges also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalize their commitment in this initiative.

PLASTIC FREE ADVOCACY

As the Field of Study Head for Professional Education, my advocacy in life is all about the “ZERO WASTE PLASTIC MANAGEMENT” in general. And as the former Pioneering Adviser of the Science Educators Guild (SEG), under the Institute of Teacher Education, since then, together with the student organization, we are dreaming and planning to meet the zero-waste plastic management under the “PLASTIC FREE ADVOCACY” to be specific in the College.
