How to Avail Counseling Services?

Students may avail of the counseling services through making an appointment by email. Kindly email [email protected] or message www.facebook.com/MCCCounselingServices and have yourself scheduled for appointment. In your message, please include your name, student number, year, institute, course program, concern, days and time when you are available to meet via online. We will respond to your message to confirm a date and time for an initial appointment. If unable to reach us via email and Facebook, you may call us at 0928-503-9711 to schedule an appointment.

Who to Refer for Counseling?

Some indications that a student may need counseling:

  • Habitual Absenteeism
  • Lack of energy and enthusiasm in studies
  • The student had just experience critical incident such as loss of a family member, accident, serious illness, trauma, etc.
  • Exhibits unusual behavior (e.g. arrogance or aggressive tendencies – not necessarily offensive or delinquent requiring disciplinary action), withdrawn or aloof, poor concentration, talking to oneself.
  • Marked changes in personal hygiene
  • Low self-esteem (excessive shyness)
  • Markedly poor academic performance or at risk in failing the subject.
  • Suicidal attempts.
  • Excessive dependency on other.
