Bachelor of Technical Vocational Teacher Education

The Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education (BTVTEd) is a four (4) year collegiate program under the Institute of Arts, Sciences and Teacher Education. It is a program for individuals intending to advance a career in teaching Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) to Junior High School, Senior High School and Technical-Vocational, Education and Training (TVET) students. The program equips learners with adequate and relevant competencies in teaching specific areas in Industrial Arts or Home Economics, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Agri-Fishery Arts (the four areas of technical and vocational track of the Senior High School Program) as mandated by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

MCC’s BTVTEd Program is government recognized and offers a specialization in Food and Service Management and provides a theory-praxis approach in the delivery of Instruction. The early part of the curriculum provides theory-based courses while the latter part is devoted to hands on practice of the theories learned. The program regards the importance of experiential learning not only inside the campus but also from the industries themselves. Students enrolled in this program shall have the opportunity to engage and immerse themselves with the different Industry partners of the program for familiarization and training. As an education program, students also undergo a program on practice teaching in various schools. Excellence and Success are two important values that are inculcated in Mabalacat City College’s Education system. As such, the program assists students in preparing well for the Licensure Exam for Teachers by providing reviews and intellectual exchanges. Further, our students benefit from the very thrust of our education with the belief that students must discover, develop and utilize their potentials for the advancement of better lives.
