Abstract
KANDADO is an IoT-based public locker system developed to address lost keys, prolonged occupancy, weak monitoring, and complaint-handling issues in existing lockers at Mabalacat City College. The system integrates an ESP32-based controller, shared QR scanner, sensors, electronic locks, and a LAN-hosted web application that uses randomized, time-bound QR/PIN codes, presence sensing, and detailed audit logs to ensure secure and accountable locker usage. Developed using the Modified Waterfall Model and evaluated under ISO/IEC 25010 criteria, covering Functional Suitability, Performance Efficiency, Compatibility, Interaction Capability/Usability, Reliability, Security, Flexibility, and Safety, the system obtained overall mean scores of 4.95 in Alpha testing, 4.91 in Beta–MIS testing, and 4.86 in Beta–Student testing, all interpreted as “Excellent,” indicating that KANDADO is a viable and robust locker solution for the MCC main campus.
