Abstract

Many students are struggling mentally due to pressure or stress in family, life, career, and mostly academics. Being mentally healthy is a crucial part of our daily life; it may affect the way you talk, act, and think, and it can also affect our efficiency. Neglecting mental health may lead to future consequences and unnecessary life events. This study developed a system, named MCCARE, for Students and MCC Guidance Service Unit, which operates to help our locals to encourage the students in the community to seek counsel from our lifeguides of MCC Guidance Service Unit and to have a safe place where they can freely express themselves, allowing them to be heard and helped to improve their mental health. Also, the system helped our lifeguides to have an efficient and reliable web base system for their records and database, a crucial role to see the student status and needed information. The researchers used a modified waterfall approach for systematic progress throughout the project stages. The system is precisely evaluated through a survey, which achieves an overall score of 4.59 rating result in alpha test and a refined score of 4.76 rating result in beta test. The higher beta test rating result showed that improvements were made to happen to address any weaknesses identified during the alpha testing phase. The website system was accomplished by meeting the criteria for functional stability, compatibility, interaction capability, reliability, security, maintainability, flexibility, and safety. These criteria usefully performed all the needed functions, the simplicity of its use, and the security protocols needed and illustrated high reliability. The developed website was designed to line up with and support the attainment of certain Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
