Abstract
In Cuayan, Angeles City, tricycles remain one of the primary modes of transportation managed by the Cuayan Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (TODA). Despite their importance, passengers often experience challenges such as difficulty locating available tricycles, fare disputes, inconsistent pricing, and limited access to transportation information. To address these issues, this study developed TrikeCuayan: A Tricycle Navigation and Booking System for Cuayan TODA, a mobile-based platform designed to provide tricycle booking, route navigation, fare estimation, and communication between passengers and drivers. The system was developed using the Modified Waterfall Model and utilized Flutter, Firebase, Dart, Google Maps API, Android Studio, Visual Studio Code, and Vercel as development tools. The application was evaluated through Alpha and Beta Testing using the ISO 25010 Software Quality Model. Three IT experts participated in Alpha Testing, while fifteen (15) passengers and fifteen (15) TODA drivers participated in Beta Testing. Evaluation results revealed high levels of user satisfaction, obtaining overall mean scores of 4.71 for Alpha Testing, 4.71 from passengers, and 4.74 from drivers. Findings indicated that the system effectively improved booking convenience, fare transparency, communication, and transportation efficiency within the Cuayan community. The study concluded that TrikeCuayan is a reliable, user-friendly, and sustainable transportation solution that supports community mobility and aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.
