Abstract
bsafe is a mobile application designed to help users manage and respond to emergency situations. The app allows users to send SOS alerts to emergency contacts, display their location on a map, access emergency resources, and store personal and medical information. The app includes both online and offline features, such as an emergency contact list, emergency alerts, GPS location tracking, and real-time updates on natural disasters and other emergencies. However, the app requires an internet or cellular connection to access some features. The research for the app is limited to the use of ISO 25010 standards for testing, and it is not intended for use by professional emergency responders. It is a personal emergency management and response app aimed at providing easy access to emergency resources and contacts for individuals. bSafe is a mobile application designed to provide safety and security to its users in case of emergencies. The app features several functionalities, including an SOS alarm that sends the user's location to a predefined list of contacts, an automatic alarm that triggers if the user doesn't check in after a certain time, and a Sos feature that helps the user get out of an uncomfortable situation. The app was evaluated by 30 beta testers from Mabalacat City, who assessed its functionality, performance efficiency, usability, reliability, security, maintainability, and portability.The beta testers' evaluation revealed that the app exceeded their expectations in all aspects. The app received a weighted mean of 4.4 for functionality, indicating that users found the app's features to be comprehensive and useful. The app's performance efficiency received a weighted mean of 4.49, indicating that the app operated smoothly and without delays. Additionally, the app's usability received a weighted mean of 4.49, indicating that the app was easy to use and navigate. The app's reliability, security, and maintainability also received high scores, with a weighted mean of 4.41, 4.43, and 4.43, respectively. These scores indicate that the app was reliable and protected against threats, and that it was easy to maintain and update. Furthermore, the app's portability received an average weighted mean of 4.29, indicating that the app was easily portable across different devices and platforms. Overall, the beta testers' evaluation showed that bSafe is an effective and reliable tool for providing safety and security to its users in case of emergencies.
