Abstract
The researchers created the "Gallinis-terramatic" automated poultry monitoring system which includes two ultrasonic sensors and a temperature sensor. In addition to monitoring humidity and temperature, feed and water status, and waste disposal, a mobile application that allows users to use their smartphones to manually operate the water spray intended to turn on the cooling system and clean the chicken's waste was also developed. The temperature, humidity, water level, and feed condition are all displayed in real time through the mobile application. It is necessary to start the cooling system which consists of a water spray as soon as the temperature hits 30.5 degrees Celsius. Furthermore, the manual water spray is equipped with on and off controls, allowing users to regulate when the spray is activated, and when it is turned off. In the mobile application and system prototype, there are a number of test cases that have been completed. The researchers conducted ten trials for each functionality to check if the device met the objectives and the requirements of the system. The Gallinis-terramatic prototype and associated mobile application were developed by the researchers with the use of a prototyping model as a guide.
