Abstract

The No Thef-ier is an IoT-based anti-theft device that consists of the Arduino Nano as the microcontroller, SIM800L, and GPS NEO6 as the module. The proponents of this study aimed to develop an anti-theft device and mobile application capable of adding security to a motorcycle and preventing it from falling into the thieves' possession. The device consists of three main features: locate, kill switch, and horn alarm. First, the location in which the mobile application can request the current location of the motorcycle and then display it on the mobile application screen. Next is the kill switch feature, which can immobilize the motorcycle and prevent it from starting again while the button is ON. Lastly, the horn alarm feature can be triggered when the motorcycle stand is moved from its position while the device is on. As a whole, the device and mobile application provide security for motorcycles. The integration testing was for the prototype, and mobile application was made successfully, and no errors were generated. The device and application run perfectly. The study's general and specific objectives were met. The device and mobile application were ready to be deployed on a motorcycle. Future researchers may improve the scope of the study and add features that will improve the security of every motorcycle.
