Abstract

There may be many people out there who require constant assistance, such as the elderly, family members, or those with special needs. The timing of taking a particular drug has a greater impact on the elderly than on others. Timing is critical in preventing any dysfunction or illness. The study's general objective is to develop a Multiple medicine dispenser and scheduler application entitled "TakeItOut: A Microcontroller-based Multiple Medicine Dispenser with Mobile Application Monitoring and Scheduler System", the researchers applied the SDLC Prototyping method to improve the project's outcome. As a result, the researchers successfully gathered data through the internet literature, medicine scheduler-related applications and clearly understood the application's development. MIT app inventor, MIT app companion, and Adobe photoshop were among the technologies identified and used in the application development. The researchers used design diagrams to illustrate and monitor its progress such as storyboard, block diagram, and hardware circuit diagram. The researchers successfully created and developed an interoperable medicine dispenser and mobile scheduler application. The researchers utilized test cases to ensure that the mobile application and system prototype were both functional, each of the device's functionality were tested at least ten (10) times to fulfill the system requirements. The researchers concluded that the system prototype and mobile application TakeItOut fulfilled all of the objectives, specifications, and scope. The evidence gathered during the prototype's development and deployment shows that the study was a success. Due to time constraints, the researchers recommend to improve the design of the medicine dispenser.
