In partnership with Huawei, the MCC Smart Classroom revolutionized the learning environment for students, particularly those who cannot attend face-to-face classes. Through utilization of cutting-edge technology, the smart classrooms are able to provide flexible access to quality education to all working students, Persons with Disabilities, or other students facing challenges in attending the traditional classroom set-up.
The effectiveness of the smart classroom is further enhanced through the academic support program, the MCC Pro Plus. While the MCC Smart Classroom provides the technological-need of remote learning, the MCC Pro Plus provides the supporting programs, curriculum, flexible schedule and other academic needs for a successful remote learning environment.
The harmonious relationship of these two projects proved effective as it bagged the Technological or Digital Innovation of the Year during the Times Higher Education Awards Asia 2024 in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia last April 29, 2024. MCC is the sole community college contender in the said category competing against Chiang Mai University, Christ University, James Cook University, Singapore, Lovely Professional University, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak, Marmara University and National University of Singapore.
