A Tropical Splendor: MCC Teacher’s Day Celebration

October 03, 2024

You give so much, yet you get so little, you teach us more than lessons; to dream, and most of all, you show us love and compassion — our teachers. As a little token and celebration of your relentless dedication to educating your students, Mabalacat City College hosted a World Teacher’s Day Celebration in a Hawaiian themed party on 03 October 2024.

“Sa Islang Pantropiko: Teacher’s Day in Tropical Splendor,” was held at MGM Resort, Mawaque Mabalacat. This celebrated and recognized the hard work and commitment of MCC faculty in teaching the students all-year round.

City Mayor Hon. Crisostomo Garbo graced the event and underscored the importance of educators in helping the progress of community. Mayor Garbo also donated fifty-thousand-peso cash that was shared by the teachers during the event.

OIC Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Marilyn Arcilla emphasized the roles of teacher in the community in her opening remarks. “We are creating professionals, we are creating the future of our community na tayo rin ang makikinabang pagdating ng araw,” she noted.

Fun-filled games and activities were relished by the faculty all throughout the event. Teachers also won various raffle prizes and special awards. Also, this served as a time for relaxation from their jampacked classes and schedules.

This activity is only a little way of saying that your efforts are not in vain and a way of thanking the most selfless professionals we have ever known in our entire lives. May your passion for your chosen vocation persist as you influence and mold our future generation.
