IHTM Students Partakes in Internship Program

May 24, 2022

OJT Coordinator for Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management Mr. Joven Ocampo, IHTM Professor Mr. Donald Rivera and Mr. Harold Van Aquino gave a hand-on supervision at Swissotel Clark and Widus Foundation where students from the Institute of Hospitality and Tourism Management (IHTM) are deployed for their On-the-Job Training.

One of the goals of the Internship Program is to apply and enhance the Hospitality and Tourism Management competencies and skills relevant to the careers to which the program is aligned. Consequently, eighty (80) selected 4th Year Hospitality Management students were asked to be a part of a big catering event on May 18 to 21, 2022 with Widus Hotel and Casino and Swissotel Clark. Students were tasked to cater to six hundred (600) people at the said event and set up tables, foods, beverages, and other hotel service-related activities. This is part of their on-the-job training as they immerse themselves in the actual Hotel Operation.

MCC expresses its gratitude to Swissotel and Widus Foundation for their kind support and guidance in the said training program.
