Mabalacat City College Bags the Top Slot at the European Union Whiz Competition 2021

The EU Whiz is an annual gathering of Higher Education Institutions in the Philippines showcasing college student’s knowledge of the European Union and its partnership with the Philippines. The competition is organized in the Philippines by the Delegation of the European Union that aims to promote partnership and cooperation among the 27 member states of the European Union and the Philippines.

In line with this, Mabalacat City College - Office of the Vice President for External Affairs in collaboration with the Office of the Student and Cultural Affairs sent its three delegates namely Jim Bryn G. Balatero, James Vincent Enriquez, and Christopher P. Galang from the Institute of Arts, Sciences and Teacher Education currently taking Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Social Studies to compete in the track EU Whiz Online Trivia Competition of EU Whiz and consecutively, MCC bags the top for the elimination round of the said competition. The team will proceed to the competitions’ Round of 50 that will take place on June 19, 2021, and the Final Round on June 26, respectively.

“The idea on why we sent student representatives for EU Whiz is to be able to participate in such high caliber competition and introduce them with that kind of environment where they could gain experience and get used to these kinds of competitions that could help them in the future national competitions”, said Mr. Raymart Espinosa Cruz, OSCA Coordinator.
