Mabalacat City College Participates in EU Forum on Multilateralism

UP-BGC, Taguig – In celebration of United Nations Month, Mabalacat City College (MCC) joined the "Multilateral Responses to Global Challenges: Building Back for Peace and Prosperity" forum on 19 October 2023. The Delegation of the European Union (EU) to the Philippines and the College of Law at the University of the Philippines, Bonifacio Global City Campus organized the event.

The gathering emphasized the critical role of multilateralism in addressing a myriad of challenges that our world faces today. Through such collaborative efforts, nations and institutions can unite in their pursuit of common goals for a better, sustainable future.

Distinguished personalities attended the event such as UP College of Law Professor Dr. Jay Batongbacal, Department of Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo, EU Ambassador to the Philippines H.E. Luc Veron, and UN Resident Coordinator H.E. Gustavo Gonzeles. These luminaries, together with other panelists, shed light on the significance of global cooperation amidst the “poly-crises” that the world is grappling with.

Additionally, MCC representatives included AVP for Linkages and International Affairs Mr. Kevin Aaron Peralta, Director of Center for Community Research and Innovation Mr. James Darwin Lagman, and President of Ad Unum Socialis Student Organization Kenjie Victoria, underlining the college's commitment to fostering ties with global entities. Ambassadors, Diplomats, National Officials, and selected institutions attended the said event.

Highlighting the importance of such multilateral events, Sec. Manalo reiterated the pivotal role of the United Nations as a venue for collective dialogue. This emphasized the essence of bridging gaps between nations.

Through participating in such forum, MCC underscores its constant dedication for international collaboration. As the institution aligns itself with global objectives, it recapitulates its mission towards sustainable development for both local and global communities. This commitment is at the core of MCC's internationalization agenda, ensuring that it remains a catalyst for collaborative efforts in our ever-evolving world.
