Mabalacat City College Welcomes Freshmen

Mabalacat City College organized TATAK TRIBU: Freshmen Welcome Ceremony and Organizational Fair 2022 on 14 September. The event formally opened the new academic year.

The Student Affairs and Support Services (SASS) and all student organizations in MCC spearheaded the event. A total of 28 accredited organizations participated in the organizational Fair that lasted from 3:00-6:00 PM.

AVPSASS Beejay Sabastian noted and lauded the significant participation of student organizations that played a huge part in the success of the event. Aside from welcoming the freshmen, he also stressed that the importance of the event was to alleviate the fear of students returning to face-to-face set-up.

Students, on the other hand, were very excited since this was the first face-to-face event that the college held after two years. Even some upperclassmen were exhilarated to have experienced such events, which they have not encountered during the height of the pandemic.

As part of the Apertura, an MCC tradition whereby the upperclassmen welcome the freshmen, an online mass was conducted. This was followed by a parade of the freshmen, Hydro party and was concluded with the marking of the Crimson Tribe.
