MCC Conducts 4th Virtual Town Hall Meeting

Mabalacat City College conducted its 4th Virtual Town Hall Meeting facilitated by the People Experience Unit, Office of the President, Legal and Planning Unit on September 10, 2021, through Microsoft Teams.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Raymond John D. Vergara, Vice President for External Affairs stressed that "I hope that at the end of the town hall meeting, there is a formation of understanding in the community. I believe that there is unity in diversity".

During the presentation, Engr. Erick Jaie David, MIS Head discussed the general guidelines of Internet Usage Policy. It includes acceptable and unacceptable ways of using computers, e-mail, and the internet.

He also mentioned that the policy is developed in consultation with office heads and employees of the College, gathering their thoughts and experiences. The policy states the growing numbers of usage of ICT in the College made it imperative to promote internet safety and reliability.

Subsequently, Planning Officer Ms. Maricris Macabanti introduced the Policies on the Annual Climate Change Action Planning. The presentation covers Policy on Annual Climate Change Action Planning, Policy on Waste Management, Policy in Compostable Wastes and the Prohibition on Incineration of Garbage in the College Premises, Policy on Electricity Conservation, Policy on Integration of Climate Change Issues in MCC 102, Policy on Paper Use Reduction and Policy on Mandatory Tree Planting for Graduating Students.

Lastly, Atty. Charmaine Lansangan-Venturina, Chief of Staff explained Copyright and Intellectual Property Policy. The policy outlines the standards on intellectual property rights, zero tolerance of intellectual dishonesty, and the proper attribution of Open Education Resources.

All these policies were formulated in order to maintain the orderliness of the MCC community.
