Mabalacat City College (MCC), the Covid-19 Response Integrated System (CRIS), and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Mabalacat have partnered together in handling Vaccination Registration centers in selected barangays to manage the flow of logistics and communications for the rolling-out of vaccines in Mabalacat City. The prototype was simulated at the Camachiles Hub last June 30, 2021.
CRIS chose MCC DigiHubs as Covid-19 Vaccination Online Registration Centers to provide access to residents of Mabalacat City. According to Dr. Jay Rivera, Head of CRIS, “We partnered with MCC because the school has the capabilities in terms of experience, logistics, personnel and equipment in enhancing and expediting the digital-ready satellite centers”. He further added that the centers are the first in the region that utilized the national online Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) program for Covid-19 Vaccination.
Hon. Crisostomo Garbo, Mabalacat City Mayor, said that “All MCC DigiHubs are to be improved and utilized for the Vaccination Online Registration”. He added that access to all centers is scheduled from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am until 5:00 pm.
Dr. Michelle Aguilar-Ong, DPA, College President, assured that MCC continues to serve the community and support the LGU in achieving herd immunity against Covid-19 in Mabalacat City. She further assured that MCC DigiHubs will continue to aid the needs of MCC students in the coming years providing equal access to education.
