In celebration of the National Arts Month, Mabalacat City College hosted the first-ever TISArt, a chalk art exhibit, on 22 February 2025 in its annual art exhibit. This is in collaboration student organizations, PANTALAKAYAN and Campus Youth Ministry with this year’s theme is “Leguan: Balakat Art Exhibit,” held at Tabnuan: Mabalacat Cultural Center.
Exhibit goers were encouraged to express their creativity and artistry by drawing directly on the streets using colorful chalks. "TISArt" is derived from Tisa, the local term for chalk, and the event beautifully lived up to its name, which promoted artistic expression and fosters a love for art in the community. The event was also designed to underscore the importance of environmental protection and preservation, aligning with global calls for environmental action.
Among the notable attendees were City Youth Officials, led by Hon. Paul Andre Tiongco, as well as MCC Vice President for Global Relations, Opportunities, and Workforce Development Mr. Raymond John Vergara, Assistant Vice President for Linkages and International Affairs, Engr. Joshua Ken Policarpio and Center for Community Research and Innovation Director, Mr. James Darwin Lagman.
Various school organizations, art groups such as Sibul ning Kalalangan, community-based groups, church organizations, local historians, and the Mabalacat City community came together to participate in the event. The City Youth Development Office (CYDO) and the City Tourism Office also lent their support for the success of the event.
