MCC Kayantabe, BPEd Students Deliver First Aid Training

Mabalacat City College (MCC) continues to serve the community through valuable training. MCC Kayantabe partnered with Bachelor of Physical Education students to conduct a First Aid Training for the youth of Brgy. Dolores on 12 July 2023 at Brgy. Dolores Conference Room. The activity themed "Transforming the Knowledge in First Aid for the Remarkable Future," aimed provide knowledge to the community about first aid and CPR.

The topics covered during the training included wound care, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and choking for adults, children, and infants, as well as burn and scalds treatment. These topics were thoughtfully assigned to specific groups of BPED students who shared their knowledge gained from their physical education and health courses.

This empowers students to participate in medical programs and projects as well as equip the community with the fundamentals of first aid and CPR. Participants were also encouraged to develop personal and group motivation to actively participate in any medical emergency within their community.

Both MCC administration and its students strives to make a positive impact on the community’s welfare. The college continues to demonstrate its role as a valuable contributor to the development of the local community through community programs and services.
