In celebration of Women’s Month, Mabalacat City College (MCC) in collaboration with the Philippine Air Force – Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command (PAF-AFRC) hosted a one-day Baking Workshop on 31 March 2025 at MCC Kitchen and Hometown Bar & Restaurant Laboratory. The event was intended to empower women and promote leadership and resilience.

The workshop provided a unique opportunity to explore the art and science of baking under the guidance of MCC Instructor Chef Harold Van Aquino. Participants, including 30 officers from the PAF learned the precise measurements and techniques required in making brownies, muffins, and chocolate chip cookies.

Moreover, this activity highlighted the college’s commitment to providing transformative learning experiences beyond traditional classroom. Institute of Hospitality and Tourism Management (IHTM) spearheaded the activity in partnership with GAD Officer of the Philippine Air Force Second Lieutenant Coleen Myka C. Ong.

With the success of this initiative, MCC and the PAF look forward to continuing their partnership through championing programs that uplift, educate and inspire the community.
