MCC Present at Sangguniang Panlungsod Committee Hearing

Mabalacat City College (MCC) participated in a Sangguniang Panlungsod Committee Hearing on 25 May 2021 headed by the College Legal Officer Atty. Charmaine Lansangan-Venturina and Project Team Leader Josevy Avena Taguibao, RGC. This is to seek approval for the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between MCC, Mabalacat LGU, and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region III.

The MOA pertained to the project titled "Community Empowerment through Science and Technology in Sitio Haduan: Equipping Local Residents with Necessary Skills and Competence." The meeting, conducted via Zoom, was led by Hon. Krizzanel C. Garbo, Chair of the Sangguniang Panlungsod Committee on Tourism, Culture, and Arts.

Attendees included the City Councilors, Indigenous People Mandatory Representative, Sangguniang Tribong Aeta (STA) board member Hon. Ruvielane Margarito, and representatives from the DOST Team, including Regional Director Julius Caesar V. Sicat, Ph.D., CESO III, Ms. Michelle Quiambao, DOST Provincial Science and Technology Center (PSTC) Director, and Engr. Christopher Japones, Project Assistant II for DOST-CEST.

During the meeting, important details regarding project components, equipment, materials, and budget allocation were discussed. The meeting successfully authorized City Mayor Hon. Cristostomo C. Garbo to enter into an MOA with DOST, paving the way for the project's implementation.
