May 04, 2022

Aside from meeting the needs of the whole community, the College has always been focused on unlocking and boosting its employees’ morale, retention rates, and even performance.

In line with this, the MCC’s People Experience Unit launches Employee Career Coaching which opens a new way to make sure the employees’ well-being and their career advancement are being prioritized.

Employees can choose which areas of their careers need significant improvement with the help of strong coaches at the College.

The College President, Dr. Michelle Aguilar-Ong, herself offered her time to coach on topics entitled: “Building Self-Confidence”, and “Executive Decision-Making”. Also up in the challenge is the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Michael E. Mesa, with the topic entitled: “Improving Teaching Through Pedagogical Components/ Enhancing Online Students Engagement”. Mr. Raymond John D. Vergara, the Vice President for External Affairs will be coaching two topics entitled: “Internationalization in Higher Education”, and “Education Management”. Sessions on “Public Speaking/ Public Relation”, and “Enhancing the Client Experience” will be led by the Assistant Vice President for Students Affairs and Support Services, Mr. Beejay A. Sebastian. The Research Coordinator, Mrs. Amelia Z. Macapagal, didn’t let this opportunity slip without extending a hand to coach the topic entitled: “Counseling/ Psychological Assessment”. On the other hand, Engr. Eric Jaie O. David, the Management Information System Head, will be sharing his expertise on the “Information Technology Essential”.

Employee Career Coaching does not only foster a positive work environment, but it is also a valuable process for everyone to identify areas for improvement and take positive action right away.
